Thermoforming tooling and aluminum molds
Thermoforming is an industrial forming process used to shape heated thermoplastic sheets into finished components through vacuum forming or pressure forming. It is widely adopted for the production of large, thin-walled parts where surface quality, dimensional stability and repeatability are critical.
We design and manufacture custom aluminum molds and tooling for thermoforming applications, developed to support industrial production environments and consistent forming performance. Our tooling solutions are engineered to ensure precise part definition, reliable process control and long-term durability across a wide range of geometries and thermoplastic materials.
- Aluminum thermoforming molds optimized for thermal conductivity and forming stability
- Vacuum forming molds for large and complex formed parts
- Pressure forming molds designed to improve surface definition and material distribution
- Custom tooling solutions tailored to specific machine layouts and production requirements
- Mold mounting and adapter frames engineered for precise integration with thermoforming equipment
We specialize in the production of thermoforming molds through a close technical collaboration with our customers. From the early design stages to prototyping and final manufacturing, our technical team provides the expertise required to optimize mold geometry, venting and cooling behavior, reducing development time while ensuring high-quality forming results.
All thermoforming molds are manufactured using advanced CNC machining processes on state-of-the-art milling centers. This approach allows us to achieve high dimensional accuracy, controlled surface finishes and reliable repeatability, which are essential for industrial thermoforming tooling.
Our thermoforming molds are suitable for both vacuum thermoforming and vacuum / pressure thermoforming processes. In vacuum thermoforming, negative pressure is used to draw the heated sheet into the mold cavity, while in vacuum / pressure thermoforming additional positive pressure is applied during forming to enhance material distribution and surface definition.
We develop thermoforming molds for technical applications such as refrigerator doors, cold rooms and insulated panels, where the mold defines the internal lining of refrigeration systems and white goods. In these applications, tooling design plays a key role in ensuring uniform wall thickness, precise fit and consistent performance on both fixed and mobile components.

Thermoforming mold mounting & adapter frames
Thermoforming molds require precise and stable integration with the forming equipment in order to guarantee repeatability, dimensional accuracy and consistent surface quality.
For this reason, alongside aluminum thermoforming molds, we design and manufacture custom mounting and adapter frames specifically developed for thermoforming applications.
These systems are engineered to ensure:
-
correct mold positioning and alignment on the forming machine
-
mechanical stability during heating and forming cycles
-
compatibility with different thermoforming equipment configurations
Each mounting solution is developed according to the customer’s machine layout and production requirements, allowing thermoforming molds to be installed efficiently on both vacuum forming and pressure forming systems.
Our approach focuses on the functional relationship between the mold, the mounting frame and the thermoforming machine, ensuring a reliable interface that supports high-quality forming, optimized cycle times and long-term tooling durability.
For polyurethane foaming applications, dedicated mold mounting solutions are developed within our foaming tooling expertise.
